Amsterdam has a lot of markets where you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables, clothes and electronics. At the end of the markets the prices often are the lowest because the market people need to sell their stock before they cannot sell it anymore. Amsterdam has 11 permanent markets, 50 outdoor markets and many occasional markets.

Albert Cuyp Markt
Open from Monday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm.
Location: Albert Cuypstraat/Ferdinand Bolstraat

Amsterdam’s largest and busiest market with specialized in general goods, food produce, exotic herbs and spices

Amsterdam’s cheapest market for clothes, food, general goods

Open from Monday to Saturday from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm (4.00 pm in summer)
Location: Stationsplein 10, 1012 AB

Small but excellent for bargains

Location: Singel, 1071 AZ

The ONLY floating flower market in the world

Art Plein Spui
Open air art market near Begijnhof and the Historical Museum
March - December every Sunday 10.00 am to 6.00 pm

Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm
On this market you can find all sorts of things such as rejected factory jeans, bags and shoes.
It´s not expensive, so really worth visiting it!
