Cinema in Amsterdam

Like every big city in Europe, Amsterdam is full of cinemas. There are a few big companies who own most of the cinemas such as Pathe and Minerva. These cinemas show a large variety of the commercial mainstream movies.
It's advisable to reserve your tickets in advance if you think the movie of your choice is likely to be popular, for example on opening weekends.

All films are shown in the original language (normally English) with Dutch subtitles. Films in Dutch are indicated by the words 'Nederlands gesproken' after the title.

On http://www.filmladder.nl/ you can find update information on what movies are showing and where.
