ASVA (Algemene Studenten Vereniging Amsterdam – The General Student Union of Amsterdam) is a student organisation with Dutch and foreign members. To become a member you pay a yearly fee between € 15,- en € 20,- . This membership give you the right to participate in a lottery for housing, buy discount second- hand bikes at a sale organized by ASVA. Also they organize a lot of other activities. ASVA also represents the interests of the students at the universities and provides legal help with issues concerning studying.
